I’m a storyteller. I’ve told telling stories for as long as I can remember. I’ve retold stories I’ve seen or heard to others. I’ve made up stories of my own just to amuse myself. The stories have taken lots of different shapes over the years – press releases, video, scripts, and presentations. This blog is a place for me to tell more stories.
Every organization, every company, every person has a story to tell. Some are better at sharing their stories than others, and that where I come in. I like to find out about an organization, a company and people, learn about what makes them special, and then tell their story. I enjoy figuring out the best way to tell their story and then getting my hands dirty telling it.
One of the ways I tell stories is through public speaking. What most people fear more than death, I like to do for fun. I competed in public speaking in high school and college. I’ve coached teenagers, taking members of my team to both states and nationals each year I was a coach. I have spent hours practicing public speaking, I’ve spent hours speaking, and I’ve spent hours watching other people speak. I enjoy working with others to help them find their public speaking voice.
To quote a great man, “We’re all just stories in the end.” Public speaking is a great way to tell a story.
