I haven’t done a Tell Me A Story Tuesday in a while, so I thought I would do one today. For those of you who don’t remember, or are new here, Tell Me A Story Tuesday is where I invite you…my adored ones of readers…to tell me a story instead of me telling you a story. I usually give a prompt of some sort. Sometimes I’ll share a little something of my own. Kind of like this….
I haven’t exactly done much in the way of summer vacations the last few years. But, this year some family rented a house in Bethany, Delaware and invited my kids and I along for the week. Once we got there we some how got lucky enough to be invited to spend the a few days hanging out on a private beach. Trust me, this kind of stuff normally does not happen to me! It was an amazing house. It was a beautiful and quiet beach. We saw
dolphins playing and jumping in the water. All of the kids ranging in age from 3 to 75 played and jumped in the water. We went to some of the neighboring towns at night and walked the boardwalks. It was amazing.
It was the kind of trip that really made coming back to reality hard. Honestly, so it was so hard that it almost made me sad at times while I was away. I knew what things were going to be like when we got back and it kind of made me wish we had never gone in the first place. Sort of like you don’t know what you’ve missed if you’ve never had it.
But it was a much needed break from the dreary world we’ve been living in, and isn’t that what vacations are for?
So now it’s YOUR turn. It doesn’t need to be long…it doesn’t need to be good…it doesn’t even need to be true (hey for all I know you could have gone to Mars for summer vacation, who am I to say different?) just tell us about your summer vacation in the comment section below. If it’s long story, or if you’d rather put it on your site, no worries just post the link.
One last thing! We’ve got rules about these things, just to keep it real friendly like and to keep those nasty trolls under the bridges where they belong, so make sure you check those out.
Ok…so…tell me a story…what did you do on your summer vacation?
