I am thrilled to tell you I will soon be the new Executive Director for the Community Arts Center of Cambria County! I’m very excited to be part of an organization I’ve admired for years and can’t wait to get started later this month. Most of all, my family and I are thrilled to be coming home to Johnstown, PA and being part of the community in such an amazing way.
Congratulations.
Thanks!
It will be an exciting time for you and your family ~ congratulations! I worked at the Arts Center for a number of years – if I can help in any way, please contact me. Also, some long-time vendors of the LHAF would love to sit in on a planning session for the 2015 LHAF – I have the names. Billie Ann Murphy
Thanks Billie! I’m sure I’ll be in touch!
Hello, Lorie, I am looking forward to meeting you! I have been a member of the arts center since 1975 and have participated the the Log House Arts Festival every year since then. Originally I sold my handmade Barbie clothes and then I switched to sewing and selling outfits for the American Girl Dolls. I feel both tickled to be remembered so fondly AND OLD when young moms come to my booth, expecting to buy Barbie clothes for their own daughters because they had such good memories of selecting outfits for their dolls. Some are very disappointed that I no longer sew for Barbies and that makes me sad. Many are happy to share delightful little moments from their childhoods. I am one of the long-time vendors Billie mentioned. Here is my site http://www.PictureTrail.com/sewhappy and if you scroll down, you can see a few photos of my booth taken in 2004. The festival used to involve setting up a card table on the grassy area on a Sunday afternoon in early September and has evolved into well-known craft show. Best wishes! Linda Sevanick
Thanks for the welcome and the link Linda! I’m sure I’ll be seeing you at the Art Center soon.
